The author brings the reader right into the experience, emotions and tribulations of a cancer diagnosis and becoming an active recipient of health care providers and systems. It reads like a non-fiction story, but becomes a reference manual and guide. Well done!

Dawn--your website is great and thank you for writing a book that will be appreciated by so many people.

Health issues like cancer have touched us all in a very real way and it is advocates like yourself who have unselfishly taken the time to "speak for the people"

Great to be at the book launch, Dawn. The book is wonderful! I didn't feel that I would benefit from reading a book about patient advocacy and manoeuvering the health care system based on the fact that I nor any of my family have medical problems. (Thank God!) As I was reading, I realized that this book is for everyone. As you said at McNally's, "We will all be a patient at some point in our lives". Now I feel prepared for when I, or someone close to me, become a patient. Thank you for this well-written, insightful book that will surely be a benefit to me when the time comes. Cheers!
